Thread: Slight Camera Problem - P6 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
re: Nerd I like the sound of that, a lot. I am currently on a binge of making multi-figure poses, and this will make things a LOT easier. Now I just have to wait until my box gets here...
Thread: Hey wait a minute... point lights are "raytrace only"? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
That's a bit of a disappointment. Cinema4D can do this, so it is possible, but I guess Pixels Digital haven't added it to Tempest/Firefly yet. Maybe in Poser 7...

Well, you can use Poser 5 while you are waiting for the patches fixing all Poser 6 bugs.
Just kidding !
What!? You mean we can't use Poser 5 while waiting for the patch that fixes all of the Poser 6 bugs? Dammit, that's the last straw.
Screw image-based lighting
Screw ambient occlusion
Screw subsurface scattering (drool)
Screw the new figures
Screw it all! I'm uninstalling everything and going back to Poser 2!!!
...no I'm not ;p
Thread: Realistic Renders in Poser 5 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
1: Learn how to use the material room. I use a proprietary material setup that looks decent even under the crappy default lighting. But it does look better when lit properly, so... 2: Learn how to use Poser's lights. Just because Poser 6 will be here in a few days doesn't mean you shouldn't keep practicing with Poser 5. Poser 6 will have more features to learn, so you'll have an easier time if all you already know how to use the previous version. 3: Master magnets and joint parameters. DAZ may someday learn how to properly rig for Poser, but they haven't yet. I haven't met a DAZ figure yet who didn't have some outrageous flaw or flaws in significant areas, spoiling any shader/lighting efforts by showing creases where none should be, or looking just plain wrong when used in ordinary posing. Magnets will free you from the morph-of-the-month club, with the added benefit that it will be easier to get clothes to fit, since you can use the same magnets with slight modifications to morph the clothing.
Thread: Fantastic new hairstlye | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This is borderline, but looks to me like a satisfied buyer letting others know that a certain product lives up to their expectations. As for the whole "Poser is a product too..." mentality: I would like to know if you drive a Michelin car? perhaps your house was built by Glidden? Poser is the topic of this forum, and as such, announcements of updates to THE ACTUAL PROGRAM ITSELF are on topic. Notice that other (add-on) products are not mentioned in the forum title. Sorry if I come across as brash, but this argument gets old after the first billion times...

Thread: CL site updated for Poser 6!!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The only thing I could figure out vis-a-vie Ben & Kate is Pearl Harbor, with Ben Affleck and Kate Winslet. p.s: ooh, new trick to try: if you're afraid that your post is about to get eaten, copy the text, refresh the page, and then submit. It seems as though the longer the page has been open, the more likely it is to eat your post.
Thread: I would buy Poser 6 because..... But i won't because...... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I would: Buy Poser 6 (I did). I wouldn't: Buy Posser 6 (because I don't like Possete, don't like pluggins, and I'm not a proffesional).
Thread: Curious Labs down? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Attached Link: http://www.curiouslabs.com/index.html
The site is working fine. They just have a misconfigured file somewhere on the server. 99% of all websites have a file named index.html, and typing the website name into your browser serves you this page without you seeing the page name (i.e: you see "www.curiouslabs.com", but you are actually looking at "http://www.curiouslabs.com/index.html") Curious Labs website is currently failing to do this, and therefor looks like it is down even though it is working fine.Thread: Request for a new comer | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Sorry, I forgot to mention that the guy in charge of making hot babes here is busy working on Ashley Judd and Kierra Knightly, so it may be a year or more before he can begin a Natalie Portman...
Thread: Animating vehicles in Poser - a tutorial (err.... pictorial?) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well, first off, for the Yanks, could you also include Imperial measurements (probably be better as a separate file). Also, someone with OpenOffice.org should give this a try to make sure Calc can use it properly.

The forum you're looking for is the Developers Forum. It is specifically designed for this very thing. Good luck with your product :-)Thread: preview of the new P6 figures? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Has anyone been able to see these previews on the CL website? I got the email newsletter (finally), but the image attached is incomplete. Also, are there larger versions of these images?
