I could care less who Cooler is if they're hiding behind an anonymous screen name then that's all the more reason to find their opinions suspect.*

I am just getting to where I actually can pose things (sorta) on my own. It takes me hours to do a pose sometimes and I know that some of that is because I'm doing things the hard way probably.
I am starting to learn better what moves what and how so it's worth it. I still use a lot of premade poses to get me started though.
I enjoy the program. I have spent way to much on it for what I do, but at least this collection doesn't take up physical space in the house much to my husband's delight ;)
It usually takes me days to complete one render (I'm always sorta shocked when people are upset about the 1 upload per day. I can't even manage 1 render a day that I feel is worth posting 3 would be out of the question), but I have fun doing them (for the most part) and really that is all that matters to me.
If I can improve I would certainly like to, but as long as I have fun doing it and I enjoy my renders even though they are imperfect that is what is most important in the long run, I think.
If you do get time to look at any of my pictures I will certainly take what you say in the manner which it is given and not as a personal attack.
I think my later renders have fair improvements over my start..at least they have shadows now ;)

I would like constructive criticism on my renders. I'm fairly new to Poser...well I've had it about a year, but I still feel very much like a newbie. I haven't done a ton with it yet, but I feel like I am making some progress from when I started.
I have P4. The problem is many times I sorta know what is wrong, but I have no idea how to change/fix etc whatever it is :(
One of my renders (ironically the one with the most views I think..I haven't looked at my gallery in a while) I know what the problem is (no shadows), but I didn't know how to do them even though several people made suggestions about having shadows.
So I would like constructive criticism along with some clue on how to actually implement fixes.

I would love to see some real baby animals of almost any sort. We have adults and no true babies. I don't think scaling down the adults looks right personally (and I'm not necessarily skilled enough to manage it well either).
Other animals (with babies) that I would like to see (and some of these may be out there. I haven't looked at every poser site I'm sure)
Hippo
Squirrel
Hedgehog
Raccoon
Bear (I think there is a real old bear available maybe?)
Pig
Cow
Moose/Elk/etc
Badger
Skunk
Bunnies
Weasel/Ferret/Mink/etc
Chinchilla
Sheep (I know there are toony sheep out there but I haven't seen a real one)
That is just a quick list off the top of my head. I, myself, will buy nearly any good animal model people can come up with as they are pretty much my favorite topic. I have human models only because there aren't enough good animals out there ;)

ah I won't shop here so that explains why I didn't know there was a flamingo here :( I didn't realize Lyne had one either so I will check there as well thanks for the heads up. I love all animals and will buy most any animal model that looks good (and even some that don't such as the Mil Big Cat). Does a poser Giraffe exist if anyone knows right off. Also do you have a list of items you plan for future releases, Noggin or are the great unwashed masses not privvy to that type of info ;)

Any chance you have a Flamingo planned, Noggin? I love all your animals and either have them or have them on my wishlist. This guy will definately be one of my next purchases.

Thread: Apparent Policy of Renderosity as regards Women Merchants & Customers | Forum: Community Center
This kind of handling of people's concerns, along with the terse, canned, cold phrases of response, the "behind closed doors" so-called discussion by staff, the heavy-handed banning, locking, and moving of threads (with no followup link), and general apparent (note: apparent, as I don't know what the ACTUAL thoughts and feelings of the staff are because it's impossible to tell when they only use terse, canned, cold phrases) lack of sensitivity to perfectly valid concerns is precisely why there are now so many competing brokering houses and Poser/3D communities.
This kind of handling of people's concerns is also pretty much status quo for this "community" and one of the biggest reasons that I had boycotted buying anything here for 9 months.
If you even pay marginal attention the PTB are nearly always dismissive of member concerns until it becomes absolutely clear to them that it might actually have an impact on the site.
I suspect sometimes even through they say there is no impact there actually is and that is why we then see an about face on whatever issue it is.
They had been handling things at least marginally better from what I could see and I broke a 9 month boycott to buy Paradise Hair (which I ironically found out about via a "complaint" type thread in the copyright forum as I do not cruise the mp here).
Now I'm pretty much sorry I did, even though I absolutely love the hair and highly recommond it ;)
Fortunately for most products I have seen in the Product Showcase if I have PMed the merchant and explained that I would love to buy their product, but I won't buy from R'osity I have found that they sell at other places as well so I am still able to get products I would like and the merchants don't lose out by my not shopping here.
Thread: Items not downloading/Need Reset | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
Hi Debbie,
I was able to grab that one with the other computer as well so I'm all good now.
Apparently the IP this computer is currently using is having issues with R'osity. The site is still slower than molasses for me here. It's fine on the other computers in the house which are on different IPs.
Thanks to both you and Clint for the prompt responses.

Thread: Items not downloading/Need Reset | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
Hi Clint, I was able to get 2 of the downloads on another computer in my house which has a different IP address than my main computer. I just need a reset on the Cute and Casual now and I can grab it with the other computer and send it to myself on this one. Thanks, Towal

Thank you again for this wonderful offer to the community. I replied privately in email, but wanted to also thank you publicly for your generosity.
Thread: Items not downloading/Need Reset | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
Hi Clint,
I still can't download any of the items and now need yet another reset.
I'm really at a loss as to what the problem could be :(
In desperation just now I even turned off my firewall and virus scanner for an attempt and it actually seemed to hang faster, though I'm sure that was just a coincidence.
I have also emptied my cache, rebooted and recycled my modem.
I don't think it's on my end from a computer standpoint (possibly an internet one), because I bought something from poser pros last night and had no problems downloading that item or a freebie offered by DM Productions.
This is really frustrating as I fought with myself for a week about buying from R'osity again and it was items that I really wanted.
I do appreciate your prompt replies though, thank you :)

Hi Clint,
Thank you for the reset. The downloads are still not working in either IE or Firefox (thought maybe it was an IE issue so tried that this time as well).
R'osity is moving at something less than a snails pace for me right now even in the forums/gallery so rather than continuing to try and you having to reset the downloads again I will just wait until later on tonight or tomorrow and try again.
I will let you know if I continue to have problems at that time.

Thread: Looking for evaluators for free postproduction Poser renderer | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well I thought this was going to be too complicated for my wee brain to grasp, but after reading the posts and seeing what people were doing I decided to give it a try. (even forced me to figure out how to export as an obj so I learned something new as well) :)
I will echo the slider/dial rather than text boxes request.
I extracted it to D rather than C and it worked, but crashed on trying to save so I moved it to C and now it freezes trying to save (vs just shutting down completely which is what it did on D).
Any suggestions for getting save to work would be great.
Thank you for sharing this with us. I can see a lot of potential for it with this community.
