MJ - he doesn't have time for all my questions! I'm kinda lost now too. I hate being stuck in NEWBIE land. I have the program, tried to follow a tutorial for making the p4fem catsuit into a sleeveless turtleneck sweater... with UV Mapper. Most people here are so advanced, they leave out little tiny steps (the ones that get from here to there) cause they are so used to doing it. I tried using the maps from Kozaburo to make hair... I sat and cried. Can you explain how these texture have such fine detail? Like the edges of sleeves, and necklines? Are they scans? How do they look so real? thanks for helping

I'm not buying their explaination... unless there is software that can see thru a .zip or .rar - there's no way they can stop cracks or warez stuff unless the cookie follows you and reports back. That's spyware. I read, I think in Info World that by renaming a file to .mp3 with some type of hacked software (that both the sender and receiver have) you could trade files on Napster... I think cookies are like banners - recording the 'hit' for the advertisers cash registers. I could be wrong, it's just a gut feeling.

Hey Poppi - I do the same; just import .3ds right into Poser 4. Do you have to convert it to an .obj to get a texture template out of it? Wait a minute - is that the only way to get a 'texture map'? Cause if it is it will explain why Phil textured a lamp for me when I posted a question asking 'how do I texture a .3ds object'... This is a major 'DUH' moment. Could someone explain this to me?

I understand scale... I have the bryce 4 handbook - and maybe it's about camera views. I think i'm asking about zoom. I'm not sure I know enough to ask an intelligent question! I want to get as close as possible to the ground - I've tried to lower the elevation but that won't change what I see. I guess I want a molehill. I'll start with scale and see where I can go from there. Thanks for answering me - do you know where I might find a tutorials for Bryce 4? Most are Bryce3d and I can't make the 'conversion' to bryce 4 as i'm so lame.

Thanks for tips MJ - I did get that chapel from 3DCafe and I wrestled with it for hours. It looks so plastic-y, and I couldn't get the lights correct either. I read that you can put a light behind the window for a very cool effect - but my lighting skills are poor. I would like to know just how to get a light behind the stained glass... I have 3dexplorer and I didn't know about the conversion utility. Just used it as a browser - what a DUH!

Your furniture is awesome! I want all the goodies you so generously posted - but I can wait for NBCI to get it straightened out. Keep them posted in the free stuff, please. I barely survived 'Walk Thru Island' (Bryce 4 Handbook) as Bryce 4 is new for me, but I know a great piece of furniture when I see it. I'm stashing away your chairs and such til then. BillyGoat

For an expensive model like Vicky, you'd think they would be a little more careful on these updates. Jeez, just what I want - another copy of Victoria! I had seven - MJ helped me get rid of 2 of them so far. I have this bad feeling that I'm gonna be up to my ears in Vickies. BTW, I looked at all the Vicky .cr2 files and 5 of them show 4.01 as the version. Yet, they're not all the same! Different file sizes and some MT dials missing...

MJ, you are absolutely right-on here. They give no info whatsoever on updates. The only reason I got the update was for a new morph target (that I read about here at this forum) called 'Eyes Closer'. But for almost a 7 meg download, you'd think there would be more new morph targets. Have you found other MT Dials in the new Vicky?
