Looks interesting. Might enter something just for fun, depending on the rules regarding workflow AI. Like the OP said, there are still some things not quite clear. For instance, pure keyword generated images are not allowed due to the possibility of material "scraped from copyright sources". But what about pure or mostly-pure text generated images made with Adobe Firefly? Because that one is not trained on random stuff off the internet but on Adobe licensed stock. Should be legit to use, right? Things like that need to be sorted to (hopefully) avoid confusion.

Maybe not the "right" kind of traffic? Might be it's all those potential new customers via Social Media that the welcome mat is laid out for. And what's this about appeasing advertisers? I thought it was copyright concerns and gallery flooding complaints behind the AI ban. Though to be fair, I think they're still trying to sort those issues out -- at least that's what I understand from their updated gallery policy page.

Good to know. But since there is no longer an AI gallery -- and even though Poser or Daz Studio or an actual camera was involved, I wouldn't feel right posting them in those galleries because they wouldn't be pure 3d or photography after such major surgery -- I guess Mixed Media, Other Apps, or whatever it's called is appropriate. Unless Fan Art, which is a league unto itself.

So does that mean I can also take my 3d renders and such into an AI app and generate new images based on them and the results would be okay to post in the gallery? Got quite a few photographs in need of such improvement and/or restoration. Not to mention some old Poser scenes that could benefit from an AI makeover.

Have you seen this? https://www.renderosity.com/article/27412/renderosity-updated-policy-for-ai-images-in-galleries
Apparently the Powers That Be here are trying to come up with something a bit more reasonable than the 100% ban announced (not quite?) a week ago.
(edited because I accidentally omitted a word. Now that sentence makes sense.)

We did used to have one, but I think they traded it in for the new Social Media forum(s).

Bit slow for me too, wonder if the hurricane has anything to do with it? Or more of the same cyberattacks that have been affecting sites lately? They hit The Weather Network just a few days ago and it's only now recovering ... sorta. :-(

Thanks. Don't use Instagram or the site that used to be Twitter -- I flat out refuse to call it that absolutely nonsensical alias it has now -- but have Liked or Followed or whatever on Facebook. Not sure if that counts as my FB handle is not the same as here. I also don't spend a whole lot of time on it, but I will check it out whenever you post there.

May or may not be relevant, but has anybody else picked up followers who have zero history and who apparently joined just today? Because I got a notification that somebody called WoodChicken has started following me but I don't have a clue who that might be. Haven't left any reviews on my work as of yet, so I don't know if that's any indication it's a bot. All kinds of those out there, a few are mostly harmless but others not so much.
Apologies if they're a real live person too busy or too shy to comment. Been spammed more than once by "following" bots on sites, therefore I am cautious.
Thread: You need to say AI art's no longer allowed on the "Upload Art" page itself | Forum: Community Center
Agreed. I just threw a cat doodle I made in MS Paint, of all things, into my local install of Stable Diffusion and prompted using just a description of the subject matter. NO ARTIST'S NAMES INVOKED WHATSOEVER! Also, I drew from memory of all the cats I've ever seen in real life, no references unless one counts the furball on my couch, therefore no reason to claim the results SD gave me are "stolen art". But of the whole lot, only this would be allowed in the galleries. Perfectly legit AI usage no longer welcome in these parts.
I will not be posting this brand new all original 100%-certified-purely-human-created-if-you-don't-count-that-it-was-drawn-on-a-computer-screen-not-paper artwork in my gallery, so no worries about "flooding". Too darned hard to sketch properly with a mouse, especially when one is blinder than most bats these days and all crippled up with arthritis as well. Oh well, it is what it is.

Confessing to being a slowpoke, even with a mostly new, mostly good computer. Reasons are varied, from the sometimes crazy circus that is my actual life to me being a lazybones who'd rather stay buried in a book when not rendering and also a nitpicker who just has to keep tinkering away on a piece until I am often more in danger of overworking it than not. Even with the AI tools everyone's been blaming for inundating all the Poser and other stuff in the galleries here & elsewhere, my output was rather small. Tons of stuff I could post, a lot of it based on my old Poser renders fed into Stable Diffusion and reworked, but still not up to my standards. Only 19 or 20 out of the lot actually made it into my gallery. So I'm definitely doing it all wrong. ;-)

Oh my! Whose brilliant idea was that, I wonder? And what was in the pot instead of coffee that day?

Not to mention some of us like to throw our own original art and photographs into things like Stable Diffusion and play around with remixes. Or use AI to put outfits, etc. that don't exist as 3d models and therefore can't be purchased no matter how much we might want to on our Vickys and other figures. Is that still allowed or not under these new rules? Not sure so I gotta ask a mod for clarification. But if it is, a "certified AI-Free" ticky box is probably not the best solution.
