dizzie, thanks for the planets! just to let you know, the javascript browser detect on your site is very, very, annoying. first of all, it didn't correctly interpret my mozilla browser as being compliant. second of all, it then sent me into a loop where it would try to download the page, thow up the alert, be oked, continue, throw up the alert, etc. endlessly until i almost simultaneously hit enter on the ok and pressed the stop button in the browser. basically, the detect doesn't take into account enough cases, but even if it did, it's just annoying and could cause the user to have to force quit the browser.

Could the one for TenTen be converted to work for Michael (unlikely, I realize)? Either way, lots of cool stuff that isn't kimonos here. http://poser-ism.vis.ne.jp/ (downloads, Resource of before).

yay! yeah, i have to say i'm much more sure about buying this than m3, and i've been waiting for it much longer.... oh, and to the person who mentioned why not victoria, there's a thread in the forums where littlefox said how much more time that would take and how it would hold up release on the koshini projects. i for one am willing to abide by that trade off.

i think that in many ways, the issue isn't just advertising. i'm just as uninterested in turning the forum into a gallery as i am it becoming a home for ads. WIP being posted to a forum, not a gallery, should mean you have a question and require a response. if you do not want a discussion, do not post it to a discussion board. i believe this forum should be about an exchange of ideas, not promotion. yes, i think it should be flexible. but i also think that blatant self interest shouldn't rule this forum. i think a lot of the daz millenium previews have been understood, through people's experience with daz, to be chances to comment on their figures and perhaps change them before they come out. i say this based on threads in which previews threaded into actual discussions and requests. if that is not the intention of the previews (to actually do something with the response), then i think they should be in the product showcase. i do not think that the prestige of the seller or the possible universality of the product should be a mitigating factor. that's unfair. i'd also have to say that poser is a program, not the content meant to be used in it. if this were going to only be about poser and its functionality, then actually i think technical questions about the program are some of the only topics that should be here. the only time discussion of anybody's products (free or commercial) should be involved in a highly regulated forum would, in my opinion, be when discussing how they functioned in poser (e.g., how to load textures, how to conform it properly, etc.). not how they looked, not aren't they great meshes/textures/lights/etc., but how do they work in poser. that said, i don't think this forum will ever be locked down like that. and i wouldn't want it to be. that's just my opinion, i realize. and i think that the forum should meet the needs of community members, content creators included. but if this forum becomes a giant spam list, not only will i stop frequenting it, i bet others will too. i'm glad that you're raising your voice, _dodger, because i think dialogue is good. i also don't think there is a hard and fast solution. i don't think it's as simple as, well, we come up with a rule and there will be only black or white and no grey. oh, and i do frequent the product showcase. i've been surprised at how few people seem to post previews there. but if no one else is going, then there does need to be a way to see upcoming products. but i do disagree with you. i don't see a validity in pure advertisements being a topic of any discussion. i do think if you or ghostofmacbeth want feedback, yeah, this is a perfect place. but i don't think it should be along the lines of a "do you think i look fat in this dress" question where what is really sought is affirmation. if what you want is a showcase, make a showcase. i do think it should be a wip forum i would still expect to be about feedback and not broadcasting. and, please. this is not a case of "segregation." you're not being kicked out, your inappropriate postings are. i can't go to the bathroom in middle of a diner because of dr. king and malcolm x and countless others, i can go in and eat like everyone else. if i'm too loud, or obnoxious, or offensive, i can be kicked out on the basis of my behaviour. and they can even get the cops to help them. if all advertising posts are pulled, and all non-commercial aren't, that's perfectly fair. it's not on the basis of who you are or something irrelevant. it's a decision based on content, purpose and the established values of the community, which is the only way to make rules about conduct that i know of. segregation wasn't just found "unfair" it was found "unconstitutional," with the constitution standing as the basis for the national values and laws. segregation was found by the supreme court to be in conflict with those values. i have nothing against you making a case for advertising being a core value, but disagreeing with it doesn't make me "prejudiced." i personally see the basic or core value of this forum to be to provide support for poser users in the form of an exchange of ideas. while you are a poser user, allowing you and everyone else to flood this forum with advertisements seems out of sync with that core value. allowing you to advertise is not providing you support, it's providing you a service. my responses to the questions... 1. Yes, of course. I think a tech forum should involve non Poser technical questions. If this isn't where to ask Poser tech questions (under Software Forum: Poser), what is supposed to go here? 2. fake highlights make the hair a little too much the same between colors (different colors but same highlights) and look very fake as soon as you morph (such as applying OOBetty's morphs to Koz's original ponytail). allowing people to put in their own as they choose sets things up to be more flexible.

lady cherry- i didn't see any image on the page, nor any indication that there should be one there. am i correct in assuming this is a technical problem?

no, no, you're perfectly informative. it's quite nice of you to be so considerate and responsive. ah. that makes perfect sense (and i thought it might actually be rather difficult). and i'd rather see valentine, miss kitty, chibi-goyle, water sprite, and mitchiko sooner than have them held up just to add to vicky's already extensive wardrobe. looking at those dresses, however, i have to wonder if serge marck would be of help... i bet even if he didn't want to convert your dresses, he'd be willing to put some romantic styled dresses for v3 on the market. oh, and i'm looking forward to your friends work.

i have to say, actually, if koshini's clothes fit v3 or even any other character easily and well, i'd be more likely to get them. i usually don't because, while i've made some morphs of koshini's face, she's so stylized that she only has so much versatility in the sense of my personal voice. she's always koshini, while v3 is easier to make into my character. this is not at all a criticism of koshini. i'm just noting that if its so easy to convert over to other characters, if lady littlefox included a v3 version with the sets, i bet a lot more people would get them. just my 2 cents

pardon, but how do you create your own slots? i've been wondering about that when so many people seemed to be saying that if the slot wasn't there to begin with, you couldn't make a new injection.

after reading a lot of criticism of koshini for not being truly anime, i downloaded a lot of anime for reference using google. a variety of sources. not one had four fingers. i'm beginning to think that's an american convention, not japanese. they also all had softer cheeks, convex undersides to their chins (as opposed to koshini's which is more straight). their heads were more proportionate to their bodies, and (of course), their breasts tended to be more prominent. so i would say she is not pure anime, i guess. this is not to say that koshini isn't great (i bought her and love her) or that you can't get her to look really, really manga. every time i look at koshini in motsura's thumbnail for his china dress i think of shampoo from ranma, even if the coloring isn't right. i think it's actually nice to note that she isn't pure anime, she's anime and lady littlefox. i like yuka and motsura's characters and maya doll, and.... i could go on and on. i think there can never be enough variety, even in the small arena of anime poser characters.

I've seen a five fingered Koshini posted to Batlab's gallery (with a note below the image about the change). It was a while ago, but unless my memory is incorrect (possible, it's not very good) a talented Japanese poser artist has already accomplished this. I really wanted to ask about this addition, but I was viewing the page translated by Babelfish because it was all in Japanese. Maybe someone should contact Batlab?

it was penguinisto. he posted the numbers here in character formulas. he also posted the info to poser pros. you can see her there, too. its actually a great start on making any petite v3 character.
