All you need to do is go into UVMapper load your model then select from the menu at the top of the screen, tools, vertices then split a box will appear and there will be a number which is roughly about 43 leave that alone. apply this and then save and load back into POSER. what this does is splits any vertices that are at right angles to each other, and leaves all others unaffected. Hope this was of help.

DAMN DAMN DAMN.... why did someone have to say, ohh my runtime folder is blah blah... yep this idiot had to bloody look at his runtime folder to see it's weight, IM grey now... aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh 18.5GB with 67,307 file... damnit.... you think im backing that up.... no way... im just gonna mirror the drive to my other hd... perhaps i should put some of my creations in freestuff again...lol... lets hope with the new Poser 6 comming out i can just plop it right in poser5's place, so that i won't have to install a thing....(bet i won't and curious labs will alter the library.....please god no)...(Save the Runtime folder)

thanx SamTherapy, i feel much better knowing that i have only 18.5Gb's compared to you heavyweights here, and im not looking forward to it expanding anymore, as for remembering the day when 2Gbs was alot for a HD, the first pc i built back in 1992 had a massive 210Mbs, and i thought that was huge, boy was i wrong,my custom V3 cr2 file wouldn't fit on that....lol... that's change for you, give it 10 years and we will be laughing at 26.2Gb's as being nothing.... then again....lol...

Hmm... i like that idea, i have only seen the shortening of the library when i have added too much, so finding out how you did this is on my must list, so how about that tutorial..... please...

As a contributer to the Poser Freestuff, and soon to the Marketplace, i have no problems with anyone renaming the files to what they want, if it makes life easier in the library all the better, hell, i do it. and i really hate the Daz content exe files, i tell them to install in a fake Runtime at the root of my G: drive and then put them where i like (and rename) in my Poser Runtime folder, all for the neat easy life.

Thread: Poser 5 memory requirements? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have a P4 2.4Ghz with 1Gb of ram and it's slow on complex renders, but i have heard in many forums that Poser5 suffers with memory leaks, hopefully this is cured in Poser6, and i hope that my graphics card will be used in Poser6, as Poser5 does nothing to help renders at the moment, and thats one hell of a waste for my Nvidia 5950...

Thread: P6..and purchasing..One loyal customer view. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ahh, now im probably unique in saying i don't mind poser 5 so when the choice of upgrading arose i promplty went over to CL and tried to Pre-Order, yep i say tried, because for some reason, Curious labs think my Poser5 serial does not exist, even though i bought the bloody thing from their store and it's registered with them....So now im waiting for my CL to e-mail me back to tell me what has gone wrong, Or did it???? is it just a little gimmick by CL to see how many people try to Pre-Order? makes you wonder???? Come on CL sort it.... Ohh and im happy Poser6 has OpenGL support so my nice NVidia 5950 finally will get some use...yay....

I think i am in the same style of thinking as XENOPHONZ and was quite happy with poser5 and to all those who say. And please, as if CL are going to give $40 off to those who are going to wait and see if Poser6 is any good before they buy... ehhh no... to us who like and are willing to put up with Poser6's bugs (which will be ironed out as they are with ALL software)we get things like $40 off and the Special ed and shade Le... so stop moaning... Ohhh and Feia... i had those troubles too... but if you keep entering your serial you will get there in the end.

Thread: Troubles Pre-ordering Poser6???? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Im happy as my poser6 is now on Pre-Order, just keep typing in the serial and after a while it does accept it... so as long as my pre-order don't go amiss during the fixing of the fault...

Thread: Poser 5 to Poser 6 worth it? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Upgrade.... to what? 7 Xeon processors and 22 HD's etc,etc...lol and theres me quiet happy with my p4 2.4ghz and only 1gb ram, and an Nvidia 5950... and to what end... Poser 5 doesnt even use the graphics card...(ok poser6 will, finally) but will they fix that memory leek that was in Poser5? hmmm....lets hope so. and i hope they also put in support for Dual processors, as thats the route i would go on my next upgrade... ohh and what about 64bit? hmmm and custard programming with cheese sauce...lol... too much goobledeeegook
